Llangwm Rowing Club take home a record 18 trophies from all over Wales.

At the recent Welsh Sea Rowing Associations annual presentation evening at Aberystwyth, Llangwm were crowned overall 'Welsh Champions' for the second year running.

The men's crew, Sten Buy, Warren Heaton, Steve Lewis, Adrian Cook and cox Helen Stewart won the Southern League for the second year as well as achieving Cup success as overall winners in the Cleddau 12 mile race and the gruelling Dale Marathon!

The Ladies, Mel Miles, Debbie Phillips, Mandy Phillips, Jane Scale and cox Mike Miles secured the Southern League and shared joint 1st in the Welsh Championship with their sister crew from Llangwm Helen Stewart, Sam Evans, Julie Bland and Mandi Chesterman.

Although the mixed crews did not win their class in the League this year, coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, they did however bring home silverware in the Cup races at Cardigans Mermaid race and Newports Dinas head race, not only 1st in class but overall winners, on both occasions beating all men's crews showing once again what 'Llangwm Women' are made of.

Also doing well are Llangwm's new vets crew Steavie Lealand, Peter Taylor, Richard Bennett, Richard Blacklaw-Jones, Greg Dow and cox Tony Phillips who although have rowed as novices this season hope to continue in this little village Rowing Clubs success.
